Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Mayor Chris Hare, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little, and Councilman Danny Wagnon. Councilman Michael Sizemore was absent.
Councilman Little gave the invocation.
Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the June 27, 2023, meeting note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from June 23-July 10, 2023. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve for Jackie Handy to build rock columns to mount the senior center sign on at a cost of $ 1,800.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve for Gray Enterprise to pave Paxton Avenue at a cost of $ 48,930.00 and East Air Depot Road at a cost of $ 49,200.00. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye. (80,000 from Road fund, 18,130 from Street Fund)
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the installation of a 4-foot fence around the playground equipment at the walking track at a cost of $ 7,625.00 to TC Fence company. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to stop payments to the Drug Task Force. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to stop paying the EMA. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a note to amend the minutes from June 13, 2023, to read Kip Williams pay increase will be Level 4 Step 6 not a step 1.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
