MUNICIPAL COURT AMNESTY PROGRAM ANNOUNCED
GLENCOE, AL -  The City of Glencoe is offering an Amnesty Court on May 3, 2023@ 1:00 pm. The amnesty program provides an opportunity for those with municipal court charges to clear their name and be given a fresh opportunity for a second chance, plus a possibility of a reduction of fines to their case(s). Amnesty is offered to all individuals who have ·received a charge within the limits of The City of Glencoe and believe you missed court or have an active warrant. Registration is required before April 26, 2023, for individuals wishing to take advantage of this program, by contacting the Glencoe Municipal Court at (256) 492-1424 ext. 112 or email sherrirobinson@cityofglencoe.org. Once the defendant appears before the Judge and arrangements are made, the warrant(s) will be withdrawn. Once cases are paid in full, if a clearance letter is needed for the Alabama Department of Transportation, one will be given to the defendant. Any individual with an active warrant is subject to immediate arrest if they have an encounter with law enforcement prior to this amnesty program.
