Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were Councilman Michael Sizemore, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Cody Rampey and Councilman Jeff Little, and Councilman Danny Wagnon.
Pastor Craig Reynolds gave the invocation.
Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of August 12, 2025, regular meeting, and the minutes from the special called canvassing meeting on September 2, 2025 note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from August 12, 2025- September 9, 2025. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve Resolution 25-16 Awarding the Tapsu grant phase 1 bid to Bob Smith Construction Inc. in the amount of $ 717,777.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to approve Resolution 25-17 Authorizing a special use permit for Verizon Wireless to modify their equipment located at 227 Parkwood Lane, Glencoe. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to fix the high school baseball field fence at a cost of $ 10.500 from Jenkins Fence. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to give the owner at 901 Sue Drive until September 15, 2025 to get the property taken care of ( it is condemned and the structure needs to be removed) if not the city will go in and tear it down and put a lien on the property. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the purchase of 3 loads of crushed brick at a cost of 5400.00 to put on fields. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve for the Fire department to order a new 2026 fire truck for $ 423,250.00 from Deep South. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to purchase a Mantis 30 ft boom mower from Trigreen at a cost of $ 306,485.88 Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
