Council Minutes October 8, 2024

Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little, Councilman Danny Wagnon and Councilman Michael Sizemore.

 

Richard Johnson gave the invocation.

 

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the September 24, 2024, regular meeting,  and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from September 24-October 7, 2024. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve a donation to the FCA Golf Tournament for $ 100.00. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All the others voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve a donation of $ 300.00 to the Glencoe Athletic Foundation for the Glencoe Cross Country team. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to surplus the 2003 New Holland Motor Grader and allow Redfield to include in their auction. The reserve will be set at $ 37,000. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve on the recommendation of the planning commission to rezone Trey Snyder’s property located on the corner of College Parkway and Howe Blvd from R1 to HC. The building he is putting up should match the plans that he brough in for the planning commission to review. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to give all employee’s a 2.5% raise. Next year we will start a sliding scale of 0-5 on employee evaluations. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Little made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
