Council Minutes October 14, 2025

Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were Councilman Michael Sizemore, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Cody Rampey and Councilman Jeff  Little, and Councilman Danny Wagnon.

 

Jeff Little gave the invocation.

 

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of September 23, 2025, regular meeting note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from September 23, 2025- October 10, 2025. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve a donation to the Gadsden-Etowah Patriots Association in the amount of $ 200.00 for table of 8 for November 5, 2025, at the Gadsden Convention Center at 11:00am. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve the month of October as Down Syndrome Advocacy month. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the purchase of a John Deer Gator Th 6×4 from Tri Green at a cost of $ 12932.88. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve the fuel cost for the Glencoe 7th graders to travel to Talladega Superspeedway. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the purchase turf for the fields at a cost of $ 5,000.00 from Gameday. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the purchase of a 2025 Suburban Lf from Buster Miles Chevrolet at a cost of $ 67,916.50. They are going to buy the blue Silverado (Dalton drives) for $ 24,000. The cost will be 43,916.50. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All Voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the contract with Three Notch Group for the engineering of the Tap Grant at the Park in the amount of $ 124,079.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Little made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
