Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Mayor Chris Hare, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little, Councilman Danny Wagnon and Councilman Chris Sims.
Pastor Wadsworth gave the invocation.
Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the October 11, 2022, meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve accounts payable from September 27-October 10, 2022. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve Resolution 22-10 authorizing a special use permit for AT&T to modify the existing wireless telecommunication facility located at 102 Cellular Tower Road, Glencoe, Alabama. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve $ 100.00 donation to Spina Bifida Association of Alabama. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve the purchase of 2 meal transporters for the Senior Center, at a cost of $ 1,440.00. Councilman Sims seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sims made a motion to approve for the Senior Center to pay $ 760.00 for Yarbrough flooring to strip and wax the floors at the Senior Center Kitchen. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve for Chief McKenzie to have Trim-It-Up come in and put mirroring on the glass in the front lobby and back lobby of the public safety building at a cost of $ 1,320.00. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to table the vote on charging a permit fee for others to use our ball fields for their businesses. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve the purchase of a Sharp copier for the Senior Center at a cost of $ 4, 400 from Dowdy’s. Councilman Sims seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the purchase of a 200 foot 18” squash pipe to go on the Brown property at a cost of $ 12,700.00. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve to hire Lucas Johns Landscaping to do the following work:
City Hall/Public Safety- 3 crepe myrtles, 2 Mary Neil Holly, 3 boxwoods, trim shrubs, remove juniper and general labor.
Water- 5 Boxwoods, trim shrubs, remove plants, general labor.
Allow mayor to approve the cost with rubber mulch instead of pine straw.
Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to purchase a 315 WKX21461 EQN160776 Excavator at a cost of $ 215,382.79 from Thompson Cat. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Rampey made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
