Council Minutes March 14, 2023

Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Mayor Chris Hare, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little, Councilman Danny Wagnon and Councilman Michael Sizemore.

 

Randall Crotts gave the invocation.

 

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the February 28, 2023, meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from February 28-March 13, 2023. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve for The Glow up Tanning Company to serve wine. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve for the police chief to purchase vest in the amount of $ 12,297.35 and a shield in the amount of $ 3,452.50.  Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve a donation to the Glencoe Fire Association for the purchase of easter eggs.  Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve for Tashia Blackerby to create a permit for vendors at events at the park. Arts & Crafts will be $ 25.00 per event and food trucks will be $ 50.00 per event. If the food trucks attend more than 2 events it will be $ 75.00 for the year.  If they are going to be doing other events in the City they will need a regular business license.  Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All vote aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve for the event planning sheet to be updated to include the permit information.  Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve for the surplus of Captain Lankford’s 2 guns, they will be gifted to him upon his retirement. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All vote aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve a bill for the training of Officer Allen and Luna in the amount of $ 1,000.00.  Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Wagnon made a motion enter a 3-year contract with Rivertree Systems, Inc.for auditing services for the City of Glencoe as needed.  The cost will be $75.00 per hour for a minimum of 4 hours when we need an audit.  Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve a donation to the Glencoe Athletic Foundation in amount of $ 1,500.00 for the High School Boys baseball.  Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
