Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Michael Sizemore, Councilman Colt Turner, and Councilman Jeff Little. Councilman Danny Wagnon was absent.

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of June 10, 2025, regular meeting, and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from June 10-June 23, 2025. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve a donation to FCA Etowah Victory Banquet at the Venue on July 22, 2025, in the amount of $ 250.00 and $ 100.00 for the golf tournament. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve Resolution 25-08 authorizing a special use permit for AT&T to modify their equipment and modify the existing wireless telecommunication facility located at 227 Parkwood Lane. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve Ordinance 25-01 on the first reading. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve Ordinance 25-01 adopting and enacting a new code for the City of Glencoe; providing for the repeal of certain ordinances not included therein; providing a penalty for the violation thereof; providing for the manner of amending such code; and providing when such code and this ordinance shall become effective. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to hire 3 part-time workers at a rate of $ 12.00 per hour for the street dept and park & Rec. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve Resolution 25-09 updating the employee handbook in the following area: Scheduled vacation and personal time will count as time worked when it comes to figuring overtime. The K-9 officer that keeps his dog at home will be compensated 3.5 hours per week for dog care at their regular rate of pay until they work 84 hours and then it will be overtime. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to have Alabama Power put the streetlight back up at/around 2014 McCluney Street to go onto the City’s bill. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion approve to extend the waterline on Bing Forest Road and we are going to pay for the fire hydrant at a cost of $ 4,150.00 from the fire tax account. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to rehire Collin Sims in the street department at Operator 2 Level 11. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve a donation of $ 1,000.00 to the youth baseball for their trip to the world series in Louisiana on July 9-13, 2025. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. Councilman Rampey abstained from voting, Mayor Hare voted aye, Councilman Little voted aye, Councilman Turner voted aye, and Councilman Sizemore voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to go into executive session to talk about a personnel issue. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to reconvene. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Little made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
