Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Danny Wagnon, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Michael Sizemore, Councilman Colt Turner, and Councilman Jeff Little.
Richard Johnson gave the invocation.
Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of May 27, 2025, regular meeting, and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from May 27-June 10, 2025. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to approve the purchase of 6 new computers and a new switch and wireless equipment and fire walls. They will get a $ 10,000 grant to cover this and up to $ 2500.00 will come out of the library fund. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve for the council to go into Executive Session to discuss an employees’ good name. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to reconvene from executive session. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the hiring of Andrew Dewberry as the Public Works Director at an annual salary of $ 65,000 with 6-month probation. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Little made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
