Council Minutes July 26, 2022

Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Mayor Chris Hare, Councilman Chris Sims, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little and Councilman Danny Wagnon.

 

Councilman Wagnon gave the invocation.

 

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the July 12, 2022, meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to approve accounts payable from July 12-July 25, 2022. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to approve Resolution 22-07 endorsing the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission comprehensive Economic Development Strategy 2022. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve for the council to amend the budget for fuel $28,300 and salaries $ 26,200.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve the purchase of an ad in the messenger for football for ¼ page for $ 130.00. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to approve for AAAA+Phillips Tree Service to clear the right of way on Cove Creek (8 pine trees 4 fallen trees) for $ 12,000.00 to be paid out of the Special Street Fund. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Sims made a motion to approve for Senior Center to purchase a stand-up stainless cooler for $ 3,020.00. (Through Jimmy Slushmyer). Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to help the High School purchase paint and a man lift to a cost of $1,600 to paint the field house, concession stand and bathrooms. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

With no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Little made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
