Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little, Councilman Danny Wagnon, and Councilman Michael Sizemore.

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the December 12, 2024, regular meeting, and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from December 12-January 9, 2024. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to help the water board with cutting the trees off the property on Main Street at a cost of $ 3,000.00. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to contract with Jenkins Fence for $ 15,500 for baseball and softball field perimeter fence. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve to contract with All foam Solutions for $ 1,800.00 to spray foam the locker room at high school baseball field. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the purchase safety release bases at a cost of $ 2,750.60 from GameDay Athletic Surfaces. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the purchase of a 30k BTU Fujitsu heat pump mini-split system for the boy’s high school locker room at a cost of $ 5,200.00 from Mitchell’s Air Conditioning. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the purchase from Pioneer Athletics the paint for the stencils and field at a cost of $ 1,256.50. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sizemore made motion to approve the purchase of panic hardware for the doors at the Senior Center to bring the building up to building code from Nolan Glass at a cost of $ 3,250.00. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve for the Police department to spend $ 5,344.00 for Clearview software (facial recognition). We will split the bill with Gadsden State Police Department. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the purchase our supplies for stripping fields and a spray gun from Pioneer Athletics at a cost of $ 1,354.89. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve the purchase and installation of the Vector Security “Card Readers” for entry to the Public Safety Building per the proposal. Installation is $ 17,463.98 with a monthly fee of $ 86.75. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve the purchase and installation of the Vector Security “Card Readers” for entry to City Hall per the proposal. Installation is $ 9,227.77 with a monthly fee of $ 65.75. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve the purchase of a Drone for the Glencoe Fire & Police Department for $ 14,000.00 from DJT, Inc. The money is to come from Fire Tax and will be reimbursed through grants. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve a donation to the CED Mental Health Prevention Program in the amount of $ 200.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve a donation to the Family Success Center “Talk Derby to Me” on May 4, 2024, for $ 650.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve for Todd Means to attend a floodplain class in Montgomery on January 29-February 1, 2024. Cost will be for Travel only. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All vote aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the payment to Tidmore Construction of $ 4,695.00 for masonry labor and materials. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to raise Stanly Trimm’s pay to $ 15.75. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to surplus the black GMC with a reserve of $ 40,000. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to surplus the 1988 Pierce pumper with a reserve of $ 7,000.00 through Redfield auction. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to post the Public Works Director job for 10 days. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
