Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little, Councilman Michael Sizemore and Councilman Danny Wagnon.

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the January 14, 2025, regular meeting, and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from January 14-January 27, 2025. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve Resolution 25-01 allowing the mayor to enter the City of Glencoe into a grant agreement with Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). The city will provide 50% local matching funds for eligible project costs. This is for the access road between Tang Mart and 431. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve for the City of Glencoe to withdraw from the Etowah County Drug Task Force. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to purchase enter a 12-month MOU with Gadsden SCAN (street crime and narcotics) Team. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve to open applications for the Police Officer position starting at $ 17.00 per hour for a certified officer. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve the purchase of a 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 from Buster Miles for $ 52,415.50. We will trade in the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado for $ 32,415.50 and with a $ 4,000.00 rebate we will pay $ 16,000.00 for the new vehicle. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss economic development. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to reconvene the Council Meeting. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
