Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were Councilman Michael Sizemore, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Cody Rampey and Councilman Steven Warren, and Councilman Danny Wagnon.
Richard Johnson gave the invocation.
Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of January 13, 2026, regular meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Warren seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Warren made a motion to approve accounts payable from January 13, 2026- January 26, 2026. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve Gilchrist Electric to fix the problem at the baseball field first base lights at a cost of $ 11,862.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve the appointment of Janna Gardner as the City Clerk at a salary of $ 70,000. She will begin work on February 9, 2026. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to go into executive session to discuss economic development. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to reconvene the council meeting from executive session. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to give the mayor authority to negotiate an incentive plan for a business to locate on city owned property located at the corner of Main Street E and W Air Depot Road, Pin # 26595 former Dean Property. Councilman Warren seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
