Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Mayor Chris Hare, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little and Councilman Danny Wagnon. Councilman Chris Sims was absent.
Randal Crotts gave the invocation.
Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the January 10, 2022, meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve accounts payable from January 10-January 23, 2023. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve for Todd Means to attend a MS4 Stormwater conference on May 1-3, 2023 in Chattanooga Tennessee at a cost of $ 230.00 plus travel expenses. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve 2 changes update the Employee Handbook: Allow sick time to accumulate up to 370 days (2960 hours) to follow RSA schedule for conversion for retirement and to update our policy for having a weapon in our employee’s vehicles while at work. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve a Job Posting for the Park & Recreation department. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All vote aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve for the City to contract with Steelwell Earthworks to do some block work on a ditch at the park in the amount of $ 4500.00. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve for the city to contract with Steelwell Earthworks to do 6 driveways on Larrydale/Elizabeth and headwalls on 4th Avenue at a cost of $ 12,300.00. The money will come out of special street fund. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All vote aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve for the city to purchase a new grapple truck from Ingram Equipment, 2024 Kenworth Truck with a T83 Chassis. This will be on the buyback plan in 1 year. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
