Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were Councilman Michael Sizemore, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Cody Rampey and Councilman Steven Warren, and Councilman Danny Wagnon.
Pastor Brooks Boyd gave the invocation.
Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of December 9th , 2025, regular meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Warren seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Warren made a motion to approve accounts payable from December 9, 2025- January 24, 2026. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to approve to a Proclamation declaring January as Human Traffic Awareness Month in Glencoe Alabama. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve for the Banks Street property to be rezoned from Mobile Home Park to R3 per the planning commission’s recommendation. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to pave Julia Drive at a cost of $ 44,970.00 on the county bid price. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to pay Pam McCord the 5% increase. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to replace the lights and ceiling fans at the senior center at a cost of $ 2,140.00 from inline electric. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to purchase 5 park benches plus material at a cost of $ 5,000.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to approve a Valentine Dance at the senior center on February 12, 2026, and we will pay $ 750.00 for the band. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve for the council to go into executive session to discuss a personnel issue. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to reconvene. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to purchase the Barron Property located at 500 Railroad Avenue ( 14-09-29-0-001-220.0). Councilman Warren seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
