Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little, Mayor Hare and Councilman Chris Sims.
Richard Johnson gave the invocation.
Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the September 28, 2021, meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve accounts payable from September 28-October 11, 2021. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve Resolution 21-14 to approve the purchase of and the paying for Police computers out of the American Rescue Plan Funds in the amount of $ 61,621.17. (10 for the police vehicles and 2 laptops for the Police Chief and Court Clerk). Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve the appointment of Ms. Dena Hamilton who has agreed to serve on the Board of Directors for the Greater Etowah 310. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve a donation to the Glencoe High School yearbook advertising for $ 130.00 for full-page ad. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve a donation to the Etowah County Thanksgiving Meal in the amount of $ 100.00. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve for Chief McKenzie to take the 2 hummers to the auction for sale. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the purchase of 2 ice machines for $ 7,710.00 from Slushmeyer for the Street and Fire department. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted yea.
With no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Rampey made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
