Council Minutes for March 8, 2022

Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Mayor Chris Hare, Councilman Chris Sims, Councilman Cody Rampey, and Councilman Jeff Little. Councilman Danny Wagnon was absent.

 

Councilman Little gave the invocation.

 

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the February 22, 2022, meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve accounts payable from February 22-March 7, 2022. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve a Proclamation declaring the 2nd Saturday in March as Rozlyn’s Rozzie Day in honor of Rozlyn Greene. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye

Councilman Little made a motion to approve the purchase of the Pollard Property for $ $ 200,000.00 it is located at 203 W. Main Street and the apartments are on S College Street. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve the purchase of the property on the corner of Lonesome Bend Road and Air Depot Road for $ 25000.00 for the Fire Department. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve a wrap for the new Police truck and the unmarked Tahoe from Freestyle at a cost of $ 4,100.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the Sanitation Public Notice Letter to be sent out to all of Glencoe residence. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Sims made a motion to approve the purchase of a 2022 High Roof Transit Van with a rear lift for the Senior Center. The van will cost $ 65,352.00 but will be paid for 100% through a grant. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

With no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Rampey made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.
