Council Minutes for January 25, 2022

Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Rampey, Councilman Little, Mayor Hare, Councilman Wagnon, Councilman Turner and Councilman Sims.

 

Pastor Lonnie Wadsworth gave the invocation.

 

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the January 11, 2022 and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve accounts payable from January 11- January 24, 2022. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve Resolution 22-02 authorizing the mayor to enter into an agreement with ADOT for a project to resurface and culvert replacement on Air Depot Road from College Parkway to Lonesome Bend Road. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Wagnon made a motion to approve for Tashia Blackerby to attend the Revenue Conference in Mobile on August 17-19, 2022. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Sims made a motion to allow the mayor to negotiate the purchase of the old lumber company property by Brown’s outboard and G & G. It is approx. 4.2 acres and will cost the city $ 220,000.00 plus the cost to test the soil if it is good of $ 2500.00. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve the purchase of uniforms for the police department at a cost of $ 2,000.00. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

With no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Little made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
