MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE GLENCOE CITY COUNCIL
August 10, 2021
Mayor Pro-Tem Wagnon called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little and Councilman Chris Sims. Mayor Chris Hare was absent.
Mayor pro-tem Wangon gave the invocation.
Mayor Pro-Tem Wagnon asked the Council to look over the minutes of the July 13, 2021, meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve accounts payable from June 27-August 6, 2021. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve the maintenance agreement with Alabama Equipment on the Aaon unit for 2 inspections per year at a cost of $ 1,952.00. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the first reading of Ordinance 21-03 Noise Ordinance. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve Resolution 21-11, 2021 Division F Phase 1 Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve the hiring of a new police officer Kip Williams as a full-time Patrol Officer. He will be starting on level two; step one of the police departments pay scale at $ 15.50 per hour. He will have a 90-day probationary period per our handbook. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve the purchase of 8 outer carriers only for $ 250.00 each and 5 Body Armors Vests for $ 600.00 each for total of $ 5,000.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the purchase for the girls batting cages the turf for $ 4,926.00 and the nets for $ 3,895.00 and Equipment needed (pitching nets) 3@ 350.00 each and ball carriers 3 @ 242.04 each. Total cost should be approx. $ 10,597.12. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the Council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
