Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Danny Wagnon, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Michael Sizemore, Councilman Colt Turner, and Councilman Jeff Little.

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of April 8, 2025, regular meeting, and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve accounts payable from April 8-April 21, 2025. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye. ( Change the totals from Police Dept and Municipal court they were incorrect because I had moved the new truck out of GF and put in Municipal Court)
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to approve a donation to Bash in the Bend for $ 1,000.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye except Jeff Little, and he abstained from voting.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to approve a change to our contract with Vanguard to include cleaning the library every other week at an additional cost of $ 200.00 per month. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the following changes to the Personnel Handbook:
Change probation period to 6 months- section 3.5
Change to the standard workday-section 4.2
Change pay to bi-weekly pay period-section 4.3
Change vacation time PD gets 42 hours per week-5.1.2
Change that after 15 years they earn the fourth week-Section 5.1.2
Change full time employees receive 3 (8 or 12 hours for personal days depending on their shift- section-2.1.4
Change Holiday earned hours depending on their shift (8 or 12) Section 5.2
Change Holidays by adding Good Friday and Birthdays (take any time)- Section 5.2
Added in City can have a no pay Friday if a holiday falls on Thursday-Section 5.2
Change Disciplinary Action-Section 6.13
Change Classification of Offenses-Section 6.17
Change- add group one offenses-Section 6.17.2
Change- add Disciplinary offenses for group one offenses-Section 6.17.3

Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the Street hours changing to 6am-2pm. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to purchase 60 yards of playground mulch from Alabama Organics at a cost of $ 1,560.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to pay Basic Administrative Solutions for the grant for Ford’s Valley Road in the amount of $ 3,500.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to donate $ 2,500.00 to Touch a Truck for the 2nd Saturday in October. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All vote aye.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to approve the purchase of a copier from Dowdy’s in the amount of $ 4,400.00. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
