Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Mayor Chris Hare, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little, Councilman Danny Wagnon and Councilman Michael Sizemore.

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the March 28, 2023, meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from March 28-April 11, 2023. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve a donation to Glencoe Elementary School in the amount of $ 370.00 for fuel for the bus for the kids to participate in the STEM program at Talladega Super Speedway. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to purchase a walk behind asphalt packer from Xtreme Recycling for $700.00. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Sizemore made a motion to approve for DCG Construction LLC, to replace the roof on the small outside building behind the senior center at a cost of $ 2,500.00. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to table the vote on the bids for paving: Ford’s Valley, Quarry Road, Pauline, Paxton, and Valmont Circle, until we can verify the numbers on the bid. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All vote aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to surplus 2 John Deer zero turn mowers Z930M with a reserve on each of $ 7,500.00. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Mayor Hare made a motion to approve for the purchase of UltraPlay Contour Table for $ 2,924.99 from Demco for the Library. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All vote aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve for the payment of a bill to Gilchrist Electrical for $ 1,170.88 for plugs at the baseball concession stands. replacing the air units: Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to purchase the property located at 1012 Lonesome Bend Road in the amount of $ 22,000.00 from Paula Noojin. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve a donation for $ 1,200.00 (Triple Crown) to Family Success Center. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the purchase of a Kaufman Trailer for $ 8,810.20. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to go into executive session to discuss the good name and character of individuals and reconvene afterwards. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
