Council Mintues July 8, 2025

Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were Councilman Michael Sizemore, Councilman Colt Turner, Councilman Jeff Little and Councilman Danny Wagnon. Councilman Cody Rampey was absent.

 

Richard Johnson gave the invocation.

 

Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of June 24, 2025, regular meeting,  and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Little made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to approve accounts payable from June 24-July 7, 2025. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Sizemore made a motion to approve the purchase a temporary fence and Homeplate for Veterans’ Field at a cost of $ 2,055.27 from Pioneer Athletics. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve Ordinance 25-02 on the first reading. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to approve Ordinance 25-02 establishing conditions for exemption from municipal sales and use taxes to comply with the terms and conditions of Act 2025-280. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion to approve the following Resolutions for each council officer without opposition:

Resolution 25-10- Council place # 1 is Danny Wagnon

Resolution 25-11- Council place # 2 is Steven Warren

Resolution 25-12- Council place # 4 is Michael Sizemore

Resolution 25-13- Council place # 5 is Cody Rampey

Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to allow Mayor Hare to purchase the property at 100 Sims Circle in Glencoe for $ 20,000. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All Voted aye.

 

Councilman Little made a motion to approve to donate to Ayden Snead $ 500.00 to go toward his project to build shelves at the band room for his eagle scout badge. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

Councilman Turner made a motion approve to approve for Tashia to work with Marty Lentz with Three Notch Engineering to get the notice ran in the paper for our grant on Webster’s Chapel Road. Councilman Sizemore seconded the motion. All voted aye.

 

With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Sizemore made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Little seconded the motion. All voted aye.
