Mayor Hare called the meeting to order. Present were, Councilman Colt Turner, Mayor Chris Hare, Councilman Cody Rampey, Councilman Jeff Little and Councilman Danny Wagnon. Councilman Michael Sizemore was absent.
Reverend Wadsworth gave the invocation.
Mayor Hare asked the Council to look over the minutes of the April 25, 2023, meeting and note any changes to the City Clerk. Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Wagnon seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Rampey made a motion to approve accounts payable from April 25-May 8, 2023. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Little made a motion to approve the payment of $ 2,195.00 to Tawana’s for the Police Officers Memorial Dinner that was held in Glencoe on May 6, 2023. Councilman Turner seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to purchase ½ pallet of water for the football team at a cost of $ 312.50. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Wagnon made a motion to amend the minutes from last council meeting to clarify the fact that Mike Begg’s pay would only go up by $ 1.03 because he had already got the 0.85 raise for filling in for Greg earlier. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
Councilman Turner made a motion to table the vote on the bids for paving: Ford’s Valley, Quarry Road, Pauline, Paxton and Valmont circle, until we can verify the numbers on the bid. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
With no further business to come before the council, Councilman Turner made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Rampey seconded the motion. All voted aye.
